The details..

"Gun repair on firearms" may not be covered in the titles of Harold Hoffman's books but his expertise in how to make needed parts for firearms makes up about 40% of all gun repairs. The Gunsmithing and Tool Making Bible is one such volume where he has compiled complete library of books into one file on a CD. This book contains everything you need to know about building most equipment and tools required in any shop.

Hoffman started repairing guns at the age of 18 when he was doing minor repairs for farmers and local hunters around Bucklin, Kansas area. His main interest was learning how to make rifle barrels as an avid hunter himself. Over time he became an expert toolmaker who could build almost anything that was needed in his shop including rifling buttons which are used to rifle barrels.

This book provides detailed instructions on milling machines with specific focus given towards vertical milling machines which can also be used for drilling operations requiring precision holes spaced accurately apart from each other using dial gauges or veneer scales among others.

Hoffman wrote these books because there wasn't enough information available regarding barrel-making processes especially button rifling back then (1956). He wanted everyone else interested in this field like him to have access before it got lost forever due lack thereof publishing opportunities today.
